Buying on eBay is fun!

If you have never bought anything on Ebay, and you are wondering how it all works, maybe I can help you. There are a few ways you can buy things on Ebay, Ebay Auction, Buy It Now, and Best Offer. With Ebay Auction, is just like any other auction, in that you make a bid on an item, and the highest bidder wins the auction. With Buy It Now, you simply click the Buy It Now button, and pay the Buy It Now price. With Best Offer, you make an offer to the seller, and the seller can decline your offer, or accept your offer, and you can make up to 3 offers on an item. If the seller accepts your offer, you have won the item.

The first step in buying items on Ebay is to become an Ebay member. To become an Ebay member, go to Ebay.com, and click on register. On the registration page, fill in your information.

Once you are an Ebay member, you can buy items on Ebay. When you find an item that you’d like to buy, make sure to read their item description thoroughly, to make sure you agree to their terms. For instance, some people only accept PayPal for payment. If you are not a PayPal member, DO Not Bid on the item.

Make sure to look at their shipping costs, and make sure the amount is acceptable to you, because you will be paying for shipping. Some seller’s add handling charges that are reasonable, and others add outrageous amounts to their shipping and handling.

Finally, look at the seller’s feedback. You can view a seller’s feedback by clicking on the number to the right of their user name. Looking at the seller’s feedback will show you what kind of a seller they are, and if their customers are satisfied with their products. If they have a lot of negative feedback, it is a pretty good indication that you do not want to buy from them.

When you find an item you want to buy, the seller has good feedback, and you agree to all of their terms, you can make a bid. When making a bid, you want to bid the highest amount you are willing to pay, and Ebay will start low, and automatically bid for you if someone tries to outbid you. Ebay will only bid up to your highest bid amount.

If you win the auction, you should expect an invoice from the seller. If you do not receive an invoice, contact the seller as soon as possible. Pay for your item in a timely manner, because you too will be left feedback.

Find an item.
Enter keywords into the Search box located at the top of any eBay page. You can also browse through our categories.

Learn about the item you found.
Read the item description carefully. If you have any questions about the item, you can ask the seller by clicking the 'Ask seller a question' link.

Review the seller's feedback.
View the seller’s business reputation on eBay by looking at his or her feedback score. Also, be sure and read the comments left by the seller's previous buyers to be sure that this is a seller you feel you can trust.

Bid or Buy It Now.
Once you've found the item you want, you can place a bid or purchase the item instantly using Buy It Now. Check the item page to see what purchase options are available to you.

Pay for the item.
After you've won or purchased the item, send your payment to the seller. If the seller offers PayPal, clicking on the Pay Now button on the item page will allow you to pay quickly and easily with your credit card or bank account. Your seller will also send you an email with information on how to pay and where you should send payment.
